angeliquea and vinny's wedding was so different and creative. because of their ties to fluxx nightclub, they decided to have their ceremony held there. i have never done a wedding in a nightclub before, but it was an awesome experience, and i would absolutely do it again! chiavari chairs were brought in to complete the look, and lavonne from adorations provided all of the decor and the craziest, thickest rose petal pathway ever! luckily for us, the in house lighting department was so willing to accommodate our wishes, and it turned out awesome! After the ceremony at fluxx, guests were invited over to the university club for cocktails and dinner. vinny & angeliquea decided to forgo a traditional reception, and instead opted for a clubby vibe that fit them to a "t" . it was an awesome wedding with great detail, and we loved being a part of it! thank you to paula luna for the photos, nr3 for the video and to mike hogan for dj'ing! it was a blast!
sarah & andy
working on sarah and andy's wedding was especially fun for us~ sarah is extremely detailed and it was great to see it all come together! from the custom dance floor provided by concepts, to the absolutely beautiful flowers provided by lavonne from adorations, no detail was overlooked. a vintage ice cream cart was brought in and room for dessert (our sister company) hand made all of the desserts on the dessert station. the lounge furniture and other specialty furniture was provided by lounge appeal. the band rocked all night~ thank you to the blue breeze band~ you were awesome! classic party rentals and my girl maria young were on hand to provide all of the china and rentals, including the beautiful linens. we could not have done it without their help!! giuseppe provided extraordinary service and food as usual. :) and josh aull got us these beautiful images to remember the day by.
Allison & Brett
jali & brett were so great to work with, and their wedding turned out beautifully! the details were so much fun, and the weather was perfect! thank you to everyone who helped out on this event~ joshua aull photo, tessilk flowers, levyland estate & mike hogan.......these are some of my favorite photos ever~ i love the light!
valen & mark
what a beautiful day this was! valen and mark were married at the rancho bernardo inn, and it was gorgeous! the ceremony was held at the rancho bernardo inn as well, and the events all took place in the santiago courtyard and santiago ballroom. valen chose a color palette with pinks, golds, creams, and pops of brighter colors like deep pink and yellow. she wanted a very classy feminine look, with tons of candles and romantic lighting. valen looked absolutely beautiful in her gown, and i just love the pictures from focus photography! what a great job! dennis bergstrom played both the guitar during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and then he switched gears into dj mode for the reception. the flowers were brilliantly designed by lavonne from adorations, and i think that she truly captured the vision valen had. great job, everyone, and congrats to mark and valen!
betsy & gregory
i was so fortunate to get to work on betsy & gregory's wedding. not only are they super cool and soooo easy to work with, but betsy's mom and i got to spend a ton of time planning the wedding together. betsy is a doctor and extremely busy, so barbara and i spent hours together planning the dream wedding. we were lucky to get boyd harris to shoot the day, tk&a provided all the food, and the el cortez provided the most beautiful backdrop for the day, as well as founder's chapel.....i loved the colors of slate grey with the pops of orange. the colors really brought out the best from the el cortez, and thankfully, we were able to get away from brown in that room! :) lavonne from adorations hooked us up with the beautiful flowers!! thank you to everyone who helped make this day absolutely perfect!!
carolyn + ben
what fun we had with carolyn and ben planning their wedding! since this was truly a destination event, there was a lot of work to be done! carolyn and ben came from boston, while most of their guests came from the east coast and florida. it was super fun, since they rented out the entire ocean view villas complex for the whole weekend. we pressed our luck with the weather in january, but san diego did not disappoint! the weather was amazing, and the sunset the night of the wedding was spectacular. guests were treated to a mexican fiesta on friday night with a mariachi band, a frozen margarita machine, and great food catered by giuseppe's catering. the next day, the wedding was in full swing with more delicious food by giuseppe, beautiful florals from adorations and music by tim altbaum. we had the cigar roller as a surprise to ben, a chinese tea ceremony for carolyn's family, the horah, and fun pashminas to keep the girls warm. it was a great crowd with such a fun warm energy. the next day, we celebrated again with brunch for all of the guests. it was really fun for us to transform the space three times in 3 days~ what an honor to help you all out! thank you for including us! also, thank you to joel flory who took these awesome pictures!! love them!
kim & andy
i am finally blogging about kim & andy' wedding! what a great way to start off the year~ i seriously had the BEST bride, an amazing array of vendors, a beautiful location and epic weather for a january. what a great day! kim and andy were so relaxed and mellow throughout the entire planning process, and kim's laid back style added so much fun to the day! lavonne was there throughout the process to help create, mold and design the day, and josh was there to document it all. my boys, the tijuana dogs rocked the party (without a doubt~ ever!!) we drew inspiration from pinks, whites, black, and a bit of gold. all of these colors and elements were used throughout the ceremony in the crown room at the hotel del, and into the reception in the grand ballroom. we had cigars later in the evening, and lounge furniture for the guests as well. cake did an awesome job on the cake (so good!!) it was a perfect day, and one that i know i will remember for a very long time. thanks kim and andy and all of your great families for including me on the day~ what an honor!!

Kate & Joe
in july, i had the pleasure of working with kate & joe on their wedding at the manchester hyatt. it was so much fun- they are a great couple! kate wanted something that would feel like san diego, but without an over the top "beachy" feel. so, we opted for colors of white, teal, and sand. it was beautiful and joyce from j design provided the most beautiful calla lillies i had ever seen! they were enormous!! tim otto was the photographer for the day, and did such a great job. his work is beautiful, and he is so much fun. bon vivant were there again to capture the day on film, and the tijuana dogs rocked! cam turner provided all of the paper products- she is so talented :) it was such a fun day filled with really cool details and a great couple. thanks joe & kate for having me!
stephanie & matt
stephanie and matt were a great couple. stephanie was so much fun to work with- she was easygoing and had a great sense of style :) we had a great cast of vendors to help us out along the way as well :) we started the festivities off at the diamond view tower for the rehearsal dinner, and moved onto the hotel del the next day for the wedding. lavonne from adorations provided all of the decor- she even custom created a screen to make the windsor lawn feel a bit more private. the color scheme was ambers and blues, and it was reflected in the great linens at the cocktail hour, as well as through the linens in the ballroom. paul barnett was the photographer for the day, and he captured some really great moments and photographs. the tijuana dogs were there to entertain, and they did an awesome job keeping everyone dancing. they are the best!! russ from bon vivant captured the wedding on video, and did a great job as usual. all in all, it was a perfect day, and was so much fun!
